Took the plunge and picked up an Epson Stylus Pro 3880. Not disappointed. Paired with the x-rite i1 display pro, the color matching is practically 1 to 1 from monitor to print. Cost is pretty low too, about 95 cents a page for ink, and thats at 17x22. Time to plaster the walls!
We brought this little man home on Feb 9th. I'm starting to favor the noise and grain more and more. At first when I began shooting and editing, I tried to reduce it as much as possible, I refused to have it show up in any of my photos. I've come around to embrace it. It makes me feel as if im listening to vinyl.
Today's phones keep taking me by surprise. I shot this at Soldier Field for the Blackhawks vs Penguins Stadium Series game with a Sony Xperia Z1 and used VSCO for editing. The outcome was more than I imagined could be possible with such terrible lighting conditions.
This is long overdue. Im not sure yet for what purpose, but I felt as if it was time to put it all together in a neat package. This is everything that stands from the past 7 years of attempted photography. Most of the shots are taken away from my home town Chicago. All my traveling was done with a camera in hand, you could say that this is the outcome. I hope this portrays a story of sorts. Perhaps how I grew and developed as a photographer.
